A slice of paradise -- a rejuvenating retreat from the chaotic world

This place is a slice of paradise for those looking to reset, be held in natural beauty, receive brilliant treatments and eat healthy, delicious food. I actually can't really believe how beautiful the grounds are, even though it was my third visit. I have returned home feeling so much better than when I arrived -- people keep telling me how well I look! This is an Ayurvedic resort, so most people, including me, are/were there doing an Ayurvedic treatment plan. I think a few people mistake Manaltheeram for a regular hotel, and although it offers many of the amenities of the hotel experience, it's a little different and you won't be ordering a plate of fries and a beer by the pool. It's a really safe, welcoming environment to truly rest in, surrounded by other guests who are doing the same, which makes it very respectful and peaceful. The staff are all amazing: so welcoming, creating a family-like atmosphere which makes this place feel like home. I can't wait to return. Had a blissful 10-day stay at Manaltheeram in February. The location is beautiful -- perched on a cliff, facing the Arabian Sea, and away from the crowds. The property is beautifully maintained, and the surroundings provided me with an opportunity to take a deep breath, relax and reconnect with nature. The resort was full capacity during my stay but management does a good job running the resort, and at no point in time, it felt crowded or busy. There is opportunity to mingle with other guests as much or as little as one desires. I spent some of my time interacting with other guests but I also spent a lot of time reading and relaxing on my own and just staring at the gorgeous blue ocean at my doorstep. I felt very safe while there and I have no hesitation staying there alone. The food was amazing -- fresh and good quality. It's a vegetarian's paradise. The staff working in the dining area are simply wonderful and try really hard to support your requirements and make your meals a delight. Housekeeping also makes a genuine effort to keep you happy. There is a laundry facility on-site that I used several times during my stay. I met with my assigned Ayurveda practitioner daily for consultation, followed by the treatment that they recommended. I enjoyed the daily 2-hour massages and treatments that are geared to your needs and requirements. I had signed up for rejuvenation therapy, and I returned home much more focused on eating right and taking care of my physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. Finally, I think it's the people that make a place truly memorable, and I felt I was saying goodbye to family when departing. I'm already planning my next visit to Manaltheeram and hope to make this an annual retreat for myself.

After one week of massages, yoga, meditation and delicious food we feel truly rejuvenated. We had one of the beautiful cottages with garden view - actually giving you ocean view anyway. Key was the initial doctor’s consultation and daily follow up to direct the individualized treatment. We will come again.

Hotel oriented to Ayurveda treatment with Seaview and beach, friendly staff, good service 24/7, delicious vegetarian cuisine, good yoga classes, so you may find all entertainment in one place while you have a treatment. You may visit related hotels next to Manaltheeram for swimming pool, food or yoga classes. Daily entertainments like live violin concert, local holiday celebrations, etc. Thank you for all staff, beginning from reception till back office who arranging you stay comfortable.
